Artist's Comments

I started this on vacation, had to finish it since all I had left were those blasted flowers. I cannot draw flowers, took forever to figure out what I was doing. Whole thing took about 5 and a half hours altogether. And didn't blend the shading on Owari (demon) because I liked it better that way. His mouth stands out so much--also--because I wanted it to. He is "creepy thing that appears as if from nowhere". Feel free to critique about anything else or....flame, rant, rave, comment whatever. It's all welcome here.

I think I'm going to redo the bkgr and turn this into a wallpaper. I like how it turned out. But I must sleep first...

On a sidenote: Owari isn't really demon...he sprouts plantlife as he moves. Anything he touches or that touches him sprouts some form of plant. Living beings included. *vine grows out of your knee*

very cool. A few years back I played a card game called Magic: The Gathering for fun occasionally...but mostly for the art work...and this piece reminds me of the kind of art they'd have on it....very cool.

Hmmmmmm.... looks dark and mysterious that is very good!
Love how you have done the transitions of his skin tone- it looks interesting and makes him stand out next to the smooth looking grass.
I also like his pale-green mouth... hehe it makes you become aware of the dangerous teeth immediately cus anything else on him is rather dark.

wow looks very cool, I love the different green tones on his skin making the shading, especially on the tail, must have been quite some work tough o.o agree on the pale green mouth looking cool and really like the pose too  the photoshop grass-pentool is greatly overused (but ok drawing grass with tablet is deadly =P) but I really like how you used it here, looks very natural :) great work :D

This is really awesome. I do love the flowers.
I love the musculature, the pose.
I especially love the green and red contrast.

YES! I faved another one of your works. I can't help it. It's soooo good. I'm addicted. Do they have counseling for something like this?

That's a really cool idea with an excellent turn out! And the flowers look great to me... Better than I could draw with references :o

Who hasn't heard of that game? Never played it though, but I was helping a friend look for interesting cards once...I guess I wasn't much help. I based it off which had the coolest looking pictures. Very inspiring artwork indeed.

Loving this one, definitely like the use of green; dark but not too dark. And the flowers turned out nicely as well. Good work.:)
